Senior Data Functional Analyst

Join VeroTech, a pioneering consultancy, as a Senior Data Functional Analyst. You will be the key bridge between business stakeholders and data teams, playing a crucial role in shaping data processes and architecture.

About the role

As a Senior Data Functional Analyst, you'll regularly engage with business stakeholders, including data teams and experts, to understand their needs and translate them into functional and technical data requirements. Identify, analyze, and grasp business processes and data flows (both operational and analytical, incoming and outgoing). Collaborating closely with Data Architects, you'll design data architecture and models, ensuring GDPR and security requirements alongside the Data Protection Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular consultations with business stakeholders to understand their needs.

• Translate business needs into functional and technical data requirements.

• Collaborate with Data Architects to design data architecture and models.

• Ensure GDPR and security compliance in consultation with the Data Protection Officer.

• Oversee testing and validation of data products.

• Responsible for deliverables like Business Requirements Documents, Functional Analysis Documents, Test Plans, ...

• Train end-users and facilitate ongoing improvements to data products.

What we're looking for

You are a skilled and experienced data professional with a deep understanding of data functional analysis and modeling. You also need to:

• Master one national language fluently and the other passively.

• Be in possession of a Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience.

• Have minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data functional analysis.

• Be experienced in data modeling, particularly conceptual and logical modeling within a data warehouse context (Kimball if possible).

• Be proficient in software design and architecture.

• Have a first experience with SQL.
