Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the mechanical and piping aspects of multidisciplinary projects, contributing from concept to commissioning. Your work will directly support the transformation of raw materials into high-value products used in advanced technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Translate stakeholder requirements into detailed mechanical and piping designs. Collaborate with internal teams and occasionally oversee external engineering partners.

• Lead technical discussions with vendors, prepare specifications, request quotations, place orders, and monitor deliveries.

• Work closely with the project manager to estimate costs, develop timelines, and ensure adherence to budget and schedule throughout execution.

• Oversee on-site activities, coordinate contractors, and manage punch lists to ensure smooth project completion.

• Assist in the start-up phase, ensuring systems operate as intended.

• Maintain control over project scope, budget, and deadlines, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

What we're looking for

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

• +10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, with expertise in 2D/3D drawing packages

• Strong knowledge of machines, pumps, piping, and thermodynamics.

• Fluent in Dutch and English

• Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
