Senior Software Developer Cybersecurity

Contribute hands-on to the development and security hardening of machine software, focusing on cybersecurity measures within ongoing and future projects.

About the role

Join our team to lead cybersecurity initiatives in software development. You’ll focus on safeguarding middleware layers, ensuring secure communication and business logic implementation. Collaborate across backend, frontend, and systems teams while also translating regulatory requirements into technical work.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute hands-on to the development and security hardening of machine software.

• Review, analyze, and challenge findings from external security audits.

• Work closely with the technical lead and engage with broader engineering stakeholders.

• Support OS-level configuration and security hardening on Linux and Windows (nice-to-have)

• Work in a hybrid team of 12 developers, primarily located in Belgium.

What we're looking for

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer with a focus on cybersecurity, eager to work on innovative projects.

• Senior-level experience in software engineering.

• Expertise in .NET development: C# (preferred), F# or Haskell (a plus if combined with C# knowledge).

• Familiar with C++ and Python; understanding of web and frontend technologies.

• Security experience in critical environments like banking, medical, or OT.

• Familiarity with Windows & Linux OS security, audit-driven environments, and secure communication protocols is advantageous.
