Senior Software Engineer (C++/Python)

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining robust simulation software. You'll improve the performance, scalability, and maintainability of our existing C++ and Python codebases while refactoring and extending complex libraries to support evolving research needs. Collaboration is key as you'll work with researchers and engineers to tackle system modeling and performance analysis challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimize simulation software for AI workload performance modeling.

• Improve performance, scalability, and maintainability of C++ and Python codebases.

• Refactor and extend simulation libraries.

• Collaborate on system modeling and performance challenges.

• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical improvements.

What we're looking for

We are seeking a curious and motivated individual with a passion for difficult optimization problems.

• Strong C++ development skills and ecosystem knowledge.

• Experience in Python development and tooling.

• Expertise or interest in performance optimization and code tuning.

• Background in complex software architectures and large codebases.

• Knowledge of discrete event simulations is advantageous.

• Familiarity with hardware system architecture or system-level modeling is a plus.

• Experience with ASTRA-sim is a strong plus.
