About the role
The role is highly hands-on, requiring active engagement with suppliers to monitor their progress and readiness for production launches. You will review and approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation, manage quality-related administrative tasks within NPI, and provide transparent status reports to internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Monitor a portfolio of EU suppliers focusing on APQP progress, product readiness, and risk mitigation.
Review, challenge, and approve PPAP documentation for completeness, accuracy, and process capability.
Conduct supplier visits to validate processes, check readiness, and mitigate risks.
Support NPI administration by updating control plans, coordinating measurement alignment, managing deviations, and preparing status reports.
Offer feedback to suppliers on quality expectations and process improvement actions.
Assess supplier readiness for production launch and ensure corrective actions are in place.
Collaborate with internal quality, engineering, and program teams to communicate risks and progress effectively.
Job requirements
What we're looking for
Proven experience in managing supplier interactions with strong relationship-building skills.
Hands-on experience in quality assurance with familiarity in APQP, PPAP, and IATF 16949.
Understanding of key manufacturing processes: Sintering, CNC machining, Hardening/heat treatment, Gear manufacturing
Strong experience in reviewing and approving PPAP packages.
Familiarity with NPI processes and early-phase risk management.
Capable of handling project-related administrative tasks with precision.
Availability for 2 days per week for 5–6 months.
Flexibility to travel to European suppliers when required.
