Job description
Join VeroTech as an Automation Engineer and become part of our community where innovation and people come first.
You’ll take on exciting technical challenges and develop your expertise while creating solutions that drive progress across several industries.
About the role
In this position, you will support both test cell revamp projects and new test bench designs, ensuring they adhere to the automation standards and best practices. You will design, implement, and optimize control systems for testing equipment—using industrial automation platforms (such as PLC controllers and SCADA systems)—to simulate and control mechanical systems and their behavior. Working closely with project leaders and test engineers, you will provide expertise in automation, system optimization, and verification of test setups. Based on your insights, you will refine models and control strategies, contributing to continuous improvement of our test processes and capturing the knowledge gained for future projects.
Key responsibilities
Assist in the design, implementation, and testing of control systems for test benches and test equipment using industrial automation platforms (e.g., PLCs and SCADA systems).
Support test cell revamp projects and new test bench installations by implementing automation solutions and performing system checks.
Participate in the optimization of test processes by helping adjust models, parameters, and control strategies based on test results.
Work closely with test engineers and project teams to troubleshoot issues and verify correct operation of test setups.
Apply established automation standards and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across test projects.
Document test setups, changes, and lessons learned to support knowledge sharing and future improvements.

Familiarity with industrial automation platforms (e.g. Beckhoff, Siemens, Rockwell) and SCADA systems is a plus.
Experience with industrial networks (e.g. EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
Strong programming skills, particularly in Python or similar scripting languages.
Ability to develop and tune control algorithms through simulation.
Understanding of mechanical systems and thermodynamics.
Proven experience in system and process control development in test lab, R&D, or industrial environments.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive, analytical mindset.
