Tape Out Engineer

About the role

As a Tape Out Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the quality and readiness of chips for fabrication. Your role involves meticulous quality checks based on provided documentation and past project insights. You will prepare chip designs for foundry fabrication and navigate the customer through the critical sign-off process utilizing state-of-the-art CAD tools. Engaging in technical discussions, you strive to guide customers effectively, ensuring they possess the necessary foundry information and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee chip quality for international clientele using manufacturing documentation and past knowledge.

• Prepare and validate chip designs for fabrication with advanced CAD tools, aiding in customer sign-off.

• Facilitate customer acquisition of foundry documentation throughout the design and production stages.

• Monitor projects from inception to completion, ensuring all milestones are achieved.

What we're looking for

We seek an engineer with a master's degree in electronics engineering. Ideally you will tick most of these boxes:

• Master’s degree in electronics engineering

• Knowledge of Python/Perl/Tcl.

• Familiarity with CAD software like Cadence Virtuoso and fabrication processes like DRC and LVS.

• Strong problem-solver, sense of initiative and client-orientation, also foreign clients.

• Excellent communication skills in English.
