VeroTech is looking for a talented Test bench software Engineer for one of its clients, a leading company in the automotive R&D sector. In this role, you will contribute to the development, integration, and optimization of software and automation tools on advanced test rigs, supporting the validation of innovative transmission and powertrain systems.
About the role
As a TestBench Software and Integration Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and managing software solutions to enhance our test facilities' robustness and efficiency. You will integrate cutting-edge software and hardware on our state-of-the-art test rigs, using your skills to bridge any gaps and optimize our system’s performance. Located in the R&D Test Center In Limburg you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure seamless integration and communication through various software tools.
Key responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and integrate software (LabView/Simulink) on test rigs using hardware from National Instruments and dSpace.
Integrate new software and hardware into the test center’s existing framework, ensuring seamless operation and minimizing information gaps.
Implement and improve automation tools (Python/Canape) to enhance testing robustness and efficiency.
Collaborate with colleagues to advise on software solutions, focusing on test bench integration, communication, and automation (CAN network, Python).
Create tools and documentation to standardize test procedures across all rigs.
Set and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure consistent quality and efficiency in testing processes.
Job requirements
What we're looking for
Engineering degree with a focus on mechatronic systems and software.
Experience with LabView/Veristand (National Instruments).
Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink is an asset.
Understanding of control theory is an asset.
Familiarity with automotive testing, sensors, data acquisition, test equipment, and electromechanics is an advantage.
Structured and organized approach to work, with excellent communication skills in English.
Strong problem-solving skills with experience in applying related methodologies.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively in a versatile, international environment.
