Job description
We are supporting a leading automotive technology company advancing the testing of hybrid, electric, and conventional powertrains. With R&D facilities and innovative test rigs, the company focuses on high-quality, efficient, and safe validation processes for next-generation mobility solutions.
About the role
As a Test rig engineer, you are responsible for ensuring the accurate execution of component and system tests on powertrains. You manage test setups, verify rig functionality, and contribute to continuous improvements, optimizing both efficiency and quality of testing. This is a hands-on role where you take ownership of test rigs and collaborate with technicians and engineers to ensure reliable operations.
Key responsibilities
Operate and develop advanced test rigs to evaluate the performance of conventional, hybrid, and electric powertrains.
Enhance the test rig environment, including hardware and software, focusing on innovation, precision, and automation using real-time platforms, Python, and CANape.
Take ownership of assigned test rigs, ensuring smooth operation, routine maintenance, upgrades, and continuous efficiency improvements.
Serve as the go-to person for operational issues, troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate closely with R&D, validation, and test engineering teams to optimize testing processes.
Develop tools and documentation to standardize operations and track performance using KPI’s, improving quality and efficiency.
Job requirements
What we're looking for
Engineering Master’s degree with background in mechatronic systems and programming experience.
Basic knowledge of control theory, structural dynamics, and high voltage applications; experience with automotive testing, sensors, data acquisition, test equipment, and electromechanics is a plus.
Proactive, innovative, and structured, able to coordinate across teams and ensure smooth, efficient testing operations.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a structured approach, clear communication, and good English, always seeking and implementing improvements.
