Business & Functional Analyst

About the role

As a Business & Functional Analyst, you will take ownership of one or more functional processes, conducting detailed analyses and modelling user business needs. Your role involves defining detailed functional specifications, creating functional requirement documents, and associated testing plans. Responsibilities include designing and delivering user training, modelling the application's functional architecture, and leading workshops to gather user requirements. Regular engagement with users through interviews supports the creation of user and business guides, alongside the preparation and facilitation of meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and modelling of business user needs to inform solution design.

• Define and document detailed functional specifications with clarity and precision.

• Develop functional requirement documents and implement corresponding test plans.

• Oversee project implementation while ensuring rigorous quality assurance.

• Design, plan, and deliver effective user training sessions.

• Model and architect the functional structure of applications.

• Organize and facilitate workshops and interviews to gather user requirements.

• Create comprehensive user manuals and business guides to support adoption.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Fluent in French or Dutch, with ease working in a multilingual environment (French, Dutch, English).

• Solid understanding of GDPR and practical experience applying data protection rules.

• Skilled in functional analysis techniques: UML, Use Cases, Class Diagrams, DataModel-ERD.

• Experienced in business process modelling: UML Activity Diagrams, BPMN.

• Familiar with Agile, SCRUM, and DEVOPS methodologies (confirmed level).

• Knowledge of application integration using REST APIs.

• Proficient with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.

• Experienced in business process design using BPMN, Cumul.io, and Enterprise Architect.

• Comfortable working with HTML/XML, JSON, MS Office, SAP, and SQL.

• Strong stakeholder management skills.

• Background in requirement analysis, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and usability testing.
