About the role

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will work on challenging projects involving Texas Instruments microcontrollers, focusing on bare metal and real-time software development. You will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of the software while adhering to safety-critical standards. Your work will involve debugging, implementing redundancy lines, and conducting various self-tests to ensure optimal microcontroller performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize embedded software for robotics applications using Texas Instruments microcontrollers.

  • Design and execute self-tests for microcontroller validation, including processing units, peripherals, and SPI-bus.

  • Utilize debugging tools specific to microcontrollers to troubleshoot and enhance system performance.

  • Conduct hardware debugging and work with PCBs, small soldering, and measurement tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters.

  • Implement redundancy features to ensure system reliability and fault tolerance.

  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams to integrate software with overall system architecture.

  • Perform testing and troubleshooting on bootloaders such as UBOOT.

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems and microcontroller development.

  • Proficient in developing software on bare metal systems.

  • Extensive experience with Texas Instruments microcontrollers.

  • Strong knowledge of safety-critical software development.

  • Expertise in using debugging tools and frameworks provided by TI.

  • Familiarity with hardware debugging, including soldering and using measurement tools.

  • Ability to build redundant systems for enhanced reliability.

  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
