Hardware Characterization Engineer

About the role

As a Characterization Engineer, you'll collaborate with application engineers and customers, playing a crucial role in measuring, testing, validating, and enhancing advanced sensors from a hardware perspective. Together with an innovative and experienced team, you’ll also grow your technical expertise and drive innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute electro-optical testing and analysis of sensors

• Validate the functionality of new designs and processes

• Create new tests with lab equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, …

• Develop and optimize test methods and measurement systems

• Generate detailed technical summaries

• Communicate with customers and discuss test results

What we're looking for

We seek a young professional with a solid technical background, some initial hands-on experience, and, of course, a passion for innovation! Here’s what you can bring to the team:

• Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Smart System Engineering

• Preferably 1-2 years of working experience or a young graduate with practical knowledge

• Strong interest in experimental work and hands-on testing

• Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude

• Proficiency with lab equipment and measurement systems such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency generators, …

• Strong communication skills and team-working capability

• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
