Senior Data Functional Analyst

At VeroTech, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Functional Analyst to join our team. In this role, you'll act as a vital link between business stakeholders and technical teams, transforming business needs into comprehensive data solutions.

About the role

As a Senior Data Functional Analyst, you will engage with various business stakeholders, including data teams and subject matter experts, to understand their specific needs and devise suitable solutions. You’ll design data architectures and models in collaboration with Data Architects, draft functional designs with the Data Governance team, and ensure alignment with GDPR and security measures. Your role extends from initial requirement analysis to delivery, testing, validation, and user training to foster continual improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to capture and translate business needs into technical specifications.

• Collaborate with Data Architects to design data architectures and models.

• Develop functional designs in collaboration with the BI and ICT teams.

• Ensure compliance with GDPR and security requirements by coordinating with the DPO.

• Validate, test, and improve data products.

• Prepare comprehensive documentation including Business Requirements, Functional Analysis, Technical Analysis, and Test Plans.

• Continually liaise with end users post-delivery to enhance data products and provide training.

What we're looking for

We seek a dynamic individual with deep expertise in data functional analysis, possessing strong data modeling skills within a data warehouse context, and the proficiency to handle complex data flows.

• Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience.

• Minimum 5 years experience in data functional analysis.

• Experience with conceptual and logical data modeling (preferably Kimball).

• Past experience as a data engineer is advantageous.

• Fluent in at least one national language with basic proficiency in English and the other language.

• Strong conceptual and business understanding with the capability to transform business needs into technical solutions.

• Ability to build relationships and develop trust with business and data stakeholders through active listening and assertiveness.
