Vision Application Engineer

About the role

As a Vision Application Engineer, you'll contribute significantly to the development and enhancement of optical inspection systems. Your role will involve crafting designs from concept to release, conducting feasibility studies, and evaluating customer samples using our state-of-the-art systems. Your work will be at the intersection of various engineering disciplines, requiring a robust understanding of both theory and practical application.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concepts and designs for optical inspection & metrology systems.

• Execute feasibility studies and evaluations using our proprietary and reference systems.

• Design algorithms for image processing and defect analysis.

• Define and document software development requirements and validate new software.

What we're looking for

We are seeking a candidate with a Master's degree + 5y experience or an industrial PhD in Engineering, ideally with: -

• A background in Optics, Computer Vision or Systems Engineering (advantageous but not essential).

• A solid understanding of software development in Matlab, Python, C, C++.

• Excellent technical skills for industrial problem-solving.

• Exceptional communication skills and fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).

• A practical and problem-solving mindset, with a willingness to travel abroad.
